Ha ha. I used to look at patterns like that. I recently finished a spiderweb hip wrap. When I first looked at the pattern I opened my mouth like a fish out of water. But only 2 weeks later it's done and I guess it wasn't so hard really. The only thing I had problems with was simply math. Remembering to count the numbers of stitches or crochets, or doubles or trebles... etc. So in actual fact it's maths that stumps me, not the crochet lingo. Ha ha.
