Look at what I bought at a church sale

I bought these today at a christmas church sale and remembered some one here was looking for easy granny square patterns. These are made with granny squares and I plan on making a few of the christmas trees, only larger for hot pads to set hot dishes on the table.

The Christmas tree is granny squares too?? Maybe you'll sort of share the pattern when you figure it out? Just need to know how they are put together, etc! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, the christmas tree is granny squares too. make 4 granny squares. each one a row bigger with last roll white, fold point to point, folding front top point down to where you made the fold. tie bows with red yarn ,do the same with next square, but tie your bows through both squares, do the same with the 3rd square and on the 4th square do not fold down the front tip, this is the top of your tree.
Have a Great Day !!! Kathy

I love the tree. That would be a great gift for people who don't put up Christmas tree. They could use the crochet tree.
