Looking size 3 vest pattern

HELP!!! for Christmas ...Some how toddler is size 2 and child size 4, interesting how size three has gotten lost. oh there are lots of baby, baby, baby. Am needing a nice pattern for a vest.
(found one that is totally done with double crochets, but was wanting something a bit more. Can anyone help.... should have kept all my grandmothers Work Basket magazines.

Could you use the size 2 pattern and use a bigger hook?? Just a thought!

Here's one for a boy. I think you'll find that a size 3 is impossible to find. I know we'll all keep looking for you.
