I know this will SHOCK you guys but I am already stuck, LOLOL

Ch 4, join to form ring
Round 1: 6 SC into ring.
Round 2: 2 SC into each SC. (12 st)

Ok, I did my Ch4 and used a slip stitch to form my ring.
Where it says 6 SC into ring, that means that I do my SC's where I literally do it around the ring? I stick my hook through the hole and yo over and complete my SC stitch, right? With the ring being crocheted into the ring.
Ok, where it says 2 SC in each SC, I understand that, the (12ST) that means that I should have a total of 12 Stitches, right? Or 12 ST in addition? The Math isn't adding up n my head, where am I off?

    I so appreciate yawl's help!!

Yes, you work around the chain that formed the ring. Be sure to ch 1 before you begin your 6 SC in the ring. and in each round.

Let us know how it works out for you. This is my favorite hat pattern.

On row two you put two sc in ea st to end up with 12 sts......that is you make an increase in ea stitch.
