Poncho for mommy or baby? Either way, if your daughter-inlaw is not for it, don't do it. Spend time on something else they do like. No point otherwise. Sorry, I so know how you feel!

    Hi, Djp375,

Congratulations on the new pregnancy, wow twins!! When are they due? What about some pretty baby blankets? Or a shawl for your daughter? I like shawls cos they are easy to fit even if the wearer changes in size, am I making sense?
    Is this your first grandbaby?

    Happy Crafting,
    Landon

I would make a shawl! I know that sounds old fashioned too-when you say shawl you thing of a little old lady, huddled up in the corner with her shawl!!! But I made myself one and I use it a lot! Comes in handy when I at the computer!! Your daughter in law may find it useful to use during those middl;e of the night feedings, and with twins, that's twice as long!! Make it with some really soft yarn and point out to her how she can use it! And congrets on the grandbabies!!

Poncho is better to have twins in warmth. Winter is coming! It s almost here. I think daughter in law should be thankful for warm thing. Style is only wrong thing. I cannot believe she will not wear poncho - it s convenient

If she isn't in to ponchos, what about a nice warm lap-robe or afghan she can cuddle up with while watching TV?

Congratulations on the grandbabies! If it were me I would love a poncho, but I've been told I'm a little wierd, I crochet after all I'm with GrammaJoe and Fallen Angle.

One thought for mom is whether she is going to breastfeed, then a lightweight shawl might be nice when she goes out in public. Otherwise, I would have to agree that if they are not going to use what you make - then you could use your energy on something they will use.
