Hello everyone, I need alittle help. Could anyone tell me how to make my crochet items look more professional? I've been crocheting for about 55 yrs. and now I have the time to learn things that I didn't know or how to do something I crochet look better. Have a Great Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I should have explain that I work with medium yarn. I made headbands to sell, so far I've sold quite a few, I just wanted to see if anyone had some ideas about making the yarn look better. I spray water on them and shape them. Most of the time this helps. Thanks for helping. Diana

Hi Diana, Hope you are having a Happy Thanksgiving. The only thing I can think of is on the patterns that call for a chain 3 (at the end of a DC row) if you chain only 2 you will make a much nicer tighter edge and eliminate the space that often times shows. I thing it makes the edge look much neater.

Thanks Judi for the idea, that sounds like a good idea to me. I never tried that. I guess what I mean about looking professional is a neat appearance, I make even chains but some patterns don't look as good as others. Maybe its the type of yarn I use which is the medium #4
worester . Most of the time I buy Red Heart, or Red Heart Soft, Vanna White, what ever I can find on sale. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Diana

Thanks Barbara. but I've been a member since January 2012. I love this site. I've learned so much about techniques and how other people have the same problems that I have. I love talking to others about their crocheting ideas. Hope you had a Great Thanksgiving.
