    Pansy Runner and Doilies

After what seems like a year or more, I have finally finished making a Pansy Runner and the Doilies that it was based on.

These went to one of my best friends. I am going to make another runner in the original colors (Purple, white and forest green) for a widowed lady that works where I do. I had given her one of the doilies, and now she would like a runner. I have another lady that would like to buy one from me, but I have no idea what to charge for one. There is no way you can charge for your time, and it does not take a lot money for the supplies. Any ideas???

This is the million dollar question. I used to struggle with what do I charge for me work. I would look at similar pieces of other jewellery artists and price my work what I thought was accordingly, but it always seemed to high to me. So now, I think about what I think would be reasonable and fair to charge. I would much rather be able to sleep at night knowing that I am being fair to myself and to who buys my work.
    Just my 2 cents worth...............

One lady taught me to charge for doilies - 1 dollar per inch before 20 inch and 2 dollars per inch after 20 inch diameter. BUT I use #30 thread and it s a lot of work and less size (sorry for poor English).

Soooo. Using that, the doily (which is 10.5 inches) should be charged at $10.50; the runner (which is 28 inches long by 10.5 inches wide) should I charge at $36.00?
