Hi everyone!
I'm a newbie. My mother tried to get me into it but as a teenager, there were more important things I had to do. I did learn how to start a chain and how to single and double stitch but over the years I retained little. I now have 3 kids and 2 grandbabies. They grow up so fast. I want to start crocheting again.
So here I am. Hello everyone!

Welcome to the forum. I learned to crochet when I was in elementary school and have been at it off and on every since. Trying to teach myself how to knit but that is not going so well, so I fall back on my true love of crochet. There are lots of fun, talented people on this forum so if you have problems with patterns or looking for something special there is always someone here who can help you out. I look forward to chatting with you.

Hi Chicklet, I'm newbie too. I crochet with yard and string... I'd be glad to help any way I can!!! I mostly follow grids to crochet and am now learning the art of reading a patterns. I'm easily distracted also by my Husband, Grand-Kids, Grand-dogs, My dogs and a three legged cat! Smile, it will be fun to take up again, especially when you "want to" now. Have fun and don't take it too seriously. Mistakes happen, ripping out can be discouraging, but part of it. I've done it a lot. We're all here to help! Have Fun!!!
