Yarn Bombing!!!
Have you ever yarn bombed? If so, what did you create?
In a major city near me, a group of yarn bombers have been very creative. Their artform will be exhibited for a month as a way to celebrate the opening of a new park.
I know that it's illegal in some places and legal in others! I've never yarn bombed, but just love the idea. What a way to show the beauty of crocheted and knitted items!

I have only seen pictures where others had been yarn bombing. It looks fun, but all I can think of is what I could make with all that yarn lol.

I think I have done it to myself. I have won so many auctions on Ebay that I have no room for more yarn. I believe that it numbers over 150 skeins. I'm afraid to count it. I am not buying any more yarn!! Well, unless I need a particular color! lol

Landon, it's street graffiti! Decorating the environment with *crocheted/knitted items: trees, lamp posts, mailboxes, benches etc. for all to enjoy. Trees for example may have *c/k leaves, flowers, birds, insects. I'd really like to outfit a tree! Sounds like fun to me!
I need to research my city's ordinances to see if it's legal here; if so, I hope to yarn bomb on International Yarn Bombing Day next year!Last edited by Butterflyrose; 10-28-2012 at 12:58 PM.
