hat
need a pattern for a hat that is crocheted in round for about 5 inches then the ribbing back and forth up and down...thanks in advance,,sure would appreciate it....
sometimes called a toboggan..or ski hat

The ones I have seen make the ribbing first and then you attach it to the rest of the hat. Look at free crochet for patterns. Also www.redheart.com and if that doesn't work the others will have an answer.

I agree-usually you crochet the ribbing first and then turn it sideways and crochet the rest of the hat!
