My name is Kathy and I'm new to this site, and I am also looking for some help in locating a pattern for the attached picture. I promised my niece that I would make her one, but I have had no luck at all in finding a pattern even close to this.
What I can see from the picture is that it is knitted with quite small stitches and appears to be the stocking stitch except possibly the cuffs. I am more 'talented' at crochet so am fumbling in the dark a bit. One of my queries online responded that the whole shrug should be knitted in a K1P1 to keep it from rolling, but this will not give the piece the smooth look . H E L P!!!

I am totally confused! When I went to the pin posted in your request the pattern was posted on the bottom of the posts. I don't understand! If you want that pattern all you have to do is click on it. I want to help but I guess it must have gone over my head! Not the first time! Clarify please!
