what to do? Hexagons from a loom.

I had a large laundry bag of these hexagons given to me. They were made on a loom, Oh what to do with them.? They were made by my mother-in-laws mother and stepdad and when they both got ill, (she is in a nursing home recouperating from surgery) they were given to my mother-in-law, then passed to me. I thought I'd try putting them together for a shaw for her mother. I did a double crochet to put them together, to look like ruffles all over. My granddaughter likes it, but would like some opinions before I give it to her. Does it look ok??

Yeah, it looks ok....if they were smaller you could make shoes, add a trim and you can make pot holders...crochet two together leaving the top open add a strap and you could have a bag.....but what you did looks good too...

thanks ladies, this is my 14 yr old grandaughter wearing it. I just wasn't sure if an 80 yr old would like it or think it was to loud. ( although she is the one that made them. I am putting together another one and donatining it to the nursing home. Its getting near christmas and I know they buy gifts for the residents and take donations for the ones that don't have family come see them, so they are not left out. I am putting it together a little different and so far, I really like it.

Thank You.. I gave the shaw to her yesterday and she loved it. and she also got some good news yesterday. If she keeps doing good in therapy and her surgery keeps healing she will be able to go home in about 3 months. Shes had such a bad time with infections, I pray that she continues to heal. Shes a great lady and a dear friend. Have a great day everyone.
