OH MY!!! That makes no sense to me will have to wait until some of the expert crocheters see this post. I am experienced but not an expert like a lot of the women on here. I know one will be able to tell you what that means and then I will learn a new thing. Good luck

Hi, Monk monk and Welcome!
I am Landon a newbie crocheter and I am glad to see you here!!
Can we see the pattern? I wonder if that would help us help you?
Twinfaye is a very experienced crocheter and the line sounds weird to me too, but I am a novice crocheter.
Happy Crafting,
Landon

ok...the way it sounds to me is the row prior was sc and the next row calls for dc...so chain three is the begining dc and then the next sc is where you do your next dc...hope this helps...

Hmmm, can't make head nor tail of that. How about a little more information? Are you at the end of a row? In the middle of motif? (I think that's the word used if doing shells & stuff)...
I'm curious as allgitout to know what it is you're working on!
Welcome to the group. Lots of helpful folks here. Not me though, I'm relearning what little I knew!
