Three shawls experiment
This is an experiment I wanted to make regarding yarn size. The black/silver is Red Heart Super Saver black and a metallic thread combined. The yellow is a 4ply yarn and the lavendar is a 3 ply. I was surprised that the 4-ply was larger than the 4ply and metallic thread together. As we have said on here the black Super Saver is a little rough and the mettalic thread is very rough. So bathe them in conditioner and wash multiple times? These shawls will go in my Christmas closet for the gifts I plan to give.

Lovely work, Faye! Particularly fond of the lavendar shawl, but they are all beautiful. Did you find it hard on the eyes working with the black yarn? I have some black Berroco that I'd like to make a shawl out of but worry I won't be able to see the stitches.

No, the only issue with the black is the scratchy one. Using 2 yarns was different but not too hard. I could feel the stitchs so I didn't have trouble if I couldn't see it but I think the mettalic thread helped to see the black.
