Which YARNS do YOU love to work with??
Hello, my babies!!
LOL What are the brands of your fav yarns? And why do you love it.......
This enquiring mind NEEDS to know!! LOL
I think that some yarns are better for one project and another for another type of project??
I only see what my local Walmart has and I KNOW there are TONS out there.
What's the scoop??
Happy Crafting!

Landon,
I really enjoy using Caron yarns. They are soft and make beautiful items, be they shrugs or afghans or hats, mittens or wristers. I also like the feel of the bamboo & silk yarns but they are usually a bit out of my price range & the Caron Simply Soft feels just about as good.
Hope this gives you some insight.

I have spent more money on some new yarns and I'll let you know about them when I use them but of the Red Heart line I thought the "with love" was softer and smoother than the others. I also liked the Lion brand "homespun" enough texture but not too hard to use.

I love cotton yarn - I guess is because I can only do dishcloth and key change or flowers... morn important is cotton yarn seem able for me to abuse it and still work out good as a dishcloth :P

I adore Caron Simply Soft yarn! Walmart, Michael's and Hobby Lobby all have it - Walmart being the cheapest in my area. It is excellent for baby items, afghans, scarves, and ladies' & children's caps. I usually use Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for men's caps and glass koozies. Both brands launder beautifully, the Red Heart yarn getting softer every time it's laundered.

I really liked the Peaches and Creme to make dishclothes with. It did not split on me and I liked the feel. I have been using some I Love This Yarn - and yes I Love it! I have a few others that I will be trying here very soon and will let you know. Otherwise I have been using Red Heart - but am finding other yarns I like better.

My favorite yarns are Lion Brand for yummy textures and colors and Knit Picks for very lush luxury yarns and great cottons. Of course for yarn or anything the best store anywhere is Michaels.
