Norwegian...Thimble - Yarn Tensioning gizmo

"Worn on the finger, the knitting thimble is used to control tension, has two yarn guides to control two yarns." It's a little door spring that fits on the forefinger. Who woulda thunk a door spring could be used for crocheting?

I have not personally used one of these. I did see them when I went to Hobby Lobby the other day, though.

I have never seen it and don't exactly understand the need for it. Do you really need it?

I'm with Twinfaye. I have never heard of or seen such a thing. I am not sure why you would need it. Anyone use these and can shed some light?

Need it? Probably not.

Find it interesting what inventive people think up & market? Yes.

Have fun looking for stuff (like pointy hooks & gizmos) & posting it for everyone? Yes.

I have read most comments and I haven't read a snarky comment. We all are interested in finding things that help us crochet. Questioning what it is used for and if we need it are questions that inform us of things we need to do our best. I joke around on here and maybe my humor isn't perceived the way I intend it. Hmmmm. Maybe so. It IS a weird little thing, isn't it. Gazillions of gizmos for all the crafting areas. Wish I could think of something absolutely everyone wanted...like paperclips or sticky notes. Unfortunately I broke my thinking cap & threw it away before Crazy Glue was invented. Duct tape wouldn't hold it together, to many sharp edges. LOL!

Didn't match any of my ensembles either :-D
