    A Crochet Hat Chart?????

Would anyone know where i could go to find out how many rows you would have to do to complete a crown to the rest of the hat? And also have the correct increases it takes to make up the crown? For example: say if i was doing a single crochet hat--how many rows would it take to make a complete hat for a new born, toddler, child and adult?. and the same with a half double crochet, double crochet hat. It seems like every pattern i go to has something different. Or some just have the one size to it.

Please visit the site links to read about the charts and to see the full info available.

If you create a swatch with a few rows, then you may be able to figure how many rows you need for your project.

Here is a pattern that I have been using and I have made several hats. Hopefully you can use this as a guide.CROCHET HAT PATTERN

    Use H needle for child
    Use I needle for adult

    Chain 3.

Slip stitch in lst chain from hook to form a ring.

Round 1 – Chain 3 plus l0 double crochet in ring. Join with a slip
Stitch in top chain 2 (ll DC)

Round 2 – Chain 3, DC in same stitch joined and 2 DC in each remaining DC and slip stitch at top (22 DC)
(Repeat Row 2 – 44 DC) for adult)

Round 3 – Slip stitch in the next DC, chain 2, 2 DC in the same stitch. Chain 1, 3 DC in the next chain l space, chain 1. Skip next DC and then 3 DC in the next chain 1 space, chain 1 around. Slip stitch at the top of chain 2.

Round 4 – Slip stitch in next two DC’s. Chain 2, 2 DC in the first chain l space. Chain 1, 3 DC’s in the next chain l space, chain l around. Slip stitch at the top of the chain 2. (Repeat 4 to file times for child and more for adult)

Round 5-11 –Chain l, half double crochet in the next stitch and in each stitch around. Mark first stitch of each round. You will not chain l at the beginning of each round. Finish off. (Use judgment on how many rolls you want or the length of the hat).

Round 12 – Use contracting color or continue with the original color for approx. 4 rolls or however wide you wish to make it.
