    New Hook

I found a great new tool!
    sharpcrochethook.com
It makes holes in fabric so you can crochet an edging neatly.
Looks like it would be great for adding edgings for receiving blankets, etc.
I'm going to order some this week. Will report back. Caro

That would be awesome to let us know how you like it! Maybe you can post a picture of it and give us some feedback on it! I would love to hear about it and I am sure others would, too.

Okay, got the Sharp crochet hook, the kit comes with an edging pattern/instruction book, you can get the hook by itself.
Don't bother getting this! All it is is a steel hook #7! It does go through material. I have a Bates #7 I compared it with, identical except no size or company name. So save your money if you have this size or spend a couple of bucks in your local store!
    Yours very truly, Caro

I haven't made an edging before but I would use an ice pick to poke holes. That may not be appropriate but that is what I would use.
