    Shawl

Went over to my dau in laws for her birthday tonight. My 13 yr old gr-dau showed me a birthday invite she got from a friend at school, then she asked me if I could make her friend a shawl cos she liked the one my gr-dau wore to school that I made her. Told her I could but 2 days is short notice, thankfully don't take that long to make

It is quite an honour to see kids want crocheted items. I made all my gr-kids full size afghans and when one of them got ruined beyond repair he asked me to make him another one. He liked the first one so much that he took some of the yarn and made a friendship bracelet so he would remember it. He cut it off and gave it to me for safe-keeping cos he left for National Guard last week.

Please thank you grandson for his service to our country. That is simply precious that he made a friendship bracelet out of the yarn from an afghan his grandmother made for him!
I make custom jewelry and I consider it a great honour when someone pays me to make them a special piece of jewelry. They pay with their hard earned money and display my work on their bodies, give away as gifts! It blows my mind. I am honoured to be of service that way.
