Exclamation Please Read - Crochet Challenge DURING the Olympics

    Hello members,

It has been really nice to do our first crochet challenge on Crochet Talk. Thank you crochetgal for getting us started on this! Crochetgal will also be donating a free pattern from her Etsy shop as a drawing.

Here is a potential list of people who were participating in the challenge. If you make any crochet items, or worked on crocheting during the time of the Olympics, please let me know in this thread.

Please let us know at least what crochet items you worked on. If you can post pictures - then this is an added bonus so the members can see what you have been working on!

Here is the list of members who posted within the Olympic threads to try to participate. If you posted an update, it will show posted. Please let me know if I missed anyone.

A few people have not posted to let us know if they participated. You have until midnight on the 20th to give us an update to be entered into the drawing.

Please forgive me if I missed your name or the fact that you posted an update. Just let me know by replying to this message. Thanks!

Landon - were you able to make any crochet items during the Olympic games? Let us know and we will add you to the drawing. We will also be doing more crochet challenges/contests in the near future. Hope you are enjoying your time here! :0)

    Hi, Yawl,

I have made some dishtowels recently, but I am not positive I worked on them during the Olympics. My memory stinks, LOL Thank you for the offer though!! And, yes, I am greatly enjoying my time here!!

    Happy Crocheting,
    Landon

[I]'ve read that the US Olympic Committee is raising cain over the "Knit Olympics" because of their copyright and trademark rights are being violated. Care to comment on this?

IMHO, it is a lot of hooey for nothing. Copywriting the word 'olympic' is like trying to copywrite the word 'breathe'. Whoever thought that one up is a couple of bricks short of full load!!

It might have been smart if I'd included the link for the pattern
