    Smile Hat Lady

    I turned 89 in July, 2012, widowed 13 years after a 56 year marriage to one man. Had 4 children, one now deceased. I learned to sew, embroidery, and crochet at 11 via watching my right-handed mother do needlework and transposing what she did. Since then I have done sewing, oil painting for 35 years, been known as the Barbie doll lady, handbag lady, doily lady, footie lady, afghan lady, sweater lady--the "into into" lady, knitting lady. And now the hat lady--and now I am marketing handmade greeting cards, original digital stock visuals, and I crochet hats for shops and the homeless. Born to be busy, I'm at it 8-16 hours a day and love every minute. I live alone in the Sierra foothills, a real home body. I do all my own housework and self care. I praise God for His daily grace! I just signed in with you all and am eager to start reading your stories! Oh, I have written novels, stories, poetry galore, some of which has been published. Scouts honor--the Hat Lady--Anne
