"Smart Lights"
Does anyone know if those special lights work? They claim to help people to not have eye fatigue...Well, I fell into mine by accident...I've seen these lights in craft stores and they are very expensive and I got mine, brand new, for two dollars. Was I duped? I've been crocheting w/ thread more at night and my eyes are starting to 'dance' and I thought for two bucks it was trying...

I got an Ottlite when they were on special for $20.00 at Costco about a year ago. Lots of people seem to really like them. I am not using mine. Cord wouldn't reach electric outlet. It could be charged to run anywhere, but never remembered to charge it. Annoying when you are crocheting and you reach end of charge - light just goes out . But for two dollars, worth a try to see how you like it.

Hello,
I have not personally tried the crochet lite. Maybe in the near future! :0)

I agree! For $2.00 It's worth a try! Let us know how it works! I haven't used a crochet light!

OK, I haven't used it for a long time, as of yet...but it is VERY bright. I can hold the crochet close to me or far and it is just a clear; unlike having to chase the lighting of a 12volt as I slide away...when I get back I will let you all know more about it...thanks

Gosh, where did you get your $2 steal? Do they more at that price?

If you end up not liking your "expensive" light let me know and I will be glad to take it off your hands and pay shipping.
Is this a fixture or just a bulb or both?

I got it at Barnes and Noble discount table...it's a WHOLE LAMP. That's what impressed me about it. I did ask a retired teacher and she added that anything that helps eye fatigue is well worth looking into...I will keep you all posted.

I've never even heard of a light especially for crocheting. How is it different from any other lamp? I hope your $2 investment pays off. If I were having trouble seeing at night, that would certainly seem like an affordable and worthwhile invest so that I could continue to enjoy my hobby.

I had an ottlite. It was great make colors look real like you were in natural light. My wonderful son knocked it over and broke it in half. Kept the magnafiying class part. Great for dark colors.
