Hi Jean Marie,

It does favor that one but it is not the one I made. I actually did not have a pattern. I like the simple handles like on this bag and the one I made. I don't like the long bag part because crochet is loose and it you stuff your bag like I do you can see all the buldges. That is why I made the little one.

I saw this either on this forum or on the Internet and liked the way it looked. (Checkered Country Basket) I didn't read the pattern through and just started it and after a few rounds I finally looked at the pattern it was a basket not a purse. So I looked at the picture and made up my own pattern and did the knit stitch and the HDC3rd stitch for my design. I made the base oval and on the ends I squared them up.

Jean Marie, Yes it has the same handles that is why I used this picture to make my bag. I was referring to the lilac bag you said looked like mine. You can see the basket looks more like the bag I made except the basket is round and my bag is oblong.
