I am on my Second Afghan Stitch Square????
Am I looking at the Right side--you all know tend to make mountains out of mole hills. I see a mountain in the horizon! I know I have to change to my afghan hook but don't have a clue where to insert it.
The instructions are:
Row 1: First half of row: Skip first dc, pick up and retain on hook one loop en each dc and in each sp, omitting the center sp. Ending pick up loop in top of ch 3: 28 loops on hook. Is the red arrow where I insert?
Would I insert hook where green arrows indicate?
I'll be back with other 25 loops...Last edited by Lucie; 09-11-2018 at 04:14 PM.

Jean, I have a small ball of yarn and I am just practicing. I got six rows crocheted on the Lace square in my pattern and just pull it apart to where my next afghan square will start. I did the same with the first afghan square, ripped it apart just enough to start the lace square in picture above.
Eventually I will be doing this:

Hi Lucie,
The green arrows are right. You skip the dc right before the sp. The red arrow is wrong. That's the one you skip. If you're not sure about where to start on a row then count the sts and see if you end up w/the total amount of sts that they want for that row. If you're still not sure you can count starting from the end of the row to see if you're putting the hook in the right place.
