Grandmother's baby booties

I'm so excited, just had to share with fellow hookers!

My grandmother made baby booties, or well slipper I guess you should call them, because she made them in all sizes up to adults. She followed a pattern that was verbally shown to her from her mother/grandmother/ many generations.

My Mom has been trying to replicate it for years, but with never having a pattern written out, she was struggling. I finally attempted to help her and after pulling apart a pair she had that my grandmother made (as much as it hurt to do that) I figured out the pattern!!!!

Here is a pic, the green one is one my grandmother made and is over 40 years old! the little yellow one is my first real attempt, and I think I got it pretty darn close, maybe just a few more practice pieces and I'll be able to finally write down this family pattern.

Hi Suewin, Good job on figuring out an old crochet pattern. It is even more special because of all the generations that made that pattern and you are carrying on the tradition.
