Ribbon Yarn
I have lots of ribbon yarn in all colors left over from necklaces I made for a little while. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do with it?

Hello,
Have you thought about making a scrap scarf? I am not sure how long your scraps are but here is some info on this:

Have you considered making earrings with the leftovers? Earrings take very little yarn!

How would I make earrings out of ribbon yard? I don't have any imagination, I guess! and I have quite a bit of yard in all colors.

I made a couple skinny scarves that can can also be used as belts with ribbon yarn a couple years ago. All I did was a row of SC, a row of DC. Then at the end I put on fringe. It sold at our library's auction fund raiser. They lady who got it loved it so much she asked me to show her how to make it.

Oh yes, I used a large hook, I think it was a K with it. You can experiment, I left it rather loose.
Have fun,

Simply work a ch 2, then 8sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join to first sc with sl st. This will give you a basic circle. for a larger earring, you can then either work 2sc in each sc around (16 sc) OR work 2dc in each sc around (16dc) and join.
Slip onto an ear wire and Viola! you've got earrings.
If you want to embellish them you can glue a simple pearl in the center of each.
My sister is selling a necklace and earrings set for $45 each at the local art festivals and cannot keep them in stock!Crochetgal on Etsy - Beautiful yarns, affordable prices
