Staycation/Vacation...what are you doing?

After my amazing vacation in Jamaica last month, I am now ready to plan a staycation. My urge to see, do and be is at an all-time high! Planning my staycation will be so much FUN! I haven't set the date yet, but I do have some activities in mind.

For my staycation, I'm creating a list of ideas from which to choose. Some ideas are take a nature walk in our newest park, have a picnic lunch at the park, go to the library, relax and begin reading a book there, take a walk in my neighborhood, plant a few veggie and flower seeds, try a new flavor of ice cream at Coldstone Creamery, go to the movies, go to the shoppe of boutiques with has many handcrafted items(in nearby city), purchase a few Christmas gifts and wrap them ...it's Christmas in July! I can also have breakfast in bed or lunch or dinner! Just some of my ideas for a GREAT staycation!

~Take a bike ride in my neighborhood/park
~Eat at a new restaurant/Favorite restaurant
~Have lunch/dinner with a friend/family member
~Have a "Planner's Hour"
~Go to the zoo
~Go to a museum
~Go to a nursery/buy some plants

Staycation Date is Set...

My staycation begins Monday, July 17-Saturday, July 22. I'm excited about doing activities in my city/nearby city from a different perspective. Planning continues...

Started My Staycation..Day 1

I started my staycation yesterday. Making my bedroom "staycation ready," then, preparing a delicious breakfast. Running an errand, then on to Walmart in search of "Christmas in July" presents(will need to shop elsewhere) for unknown people plus grocery shopping! What a great day!

Days 2 and 3...

I took a trip to the nursery to buy veggie plants. Bought some tomato and okra plants! My older daughter surprised me with coupons for a FREE fish sandwich and caramel sundae. Delicious! The next day was Gardening Day and "Planner's Hour. I planted the veggies and had a great time doing it! Making future plans, recounting my staycation days, meal planning and decorating my traveler's notebook was exciting! Again, I was surprised when my younger daughter brought us(older daughter and me) snow cones in celebration of my staycation. Can it get any better??? Having so much FUN on my staycation!
