    Cool Newbie I'm Hooked

    I crocheted a baby blanket in 1984 while I was pregnant with my first child. It was the first and only thing I had ever crocheted. I did not crochet again until 2014. And I have been hooked ever since. lol

    Gammy, you are not the only one here who did not crochet for 20 years (or more, in my case). I'm in the same boat, having restarted in 2016, and have done various little projects to see if I can still cut the mustard. No high quality results yet except for a few dishcloths. Struggling with a doily now, of all things - #10 thread and #4 (UK) hook. So far, if I stand some distance away from the half-completed doily and put my eyes out of focus, it doesn't look too bad.

    What are you up to now?

    After 30 years picking it back up, I crochet everything now. And am a left handed crocheter.
