Have you tried this? it seems easy enough, but I wonder how doubling the yarn like that would affect the look of the project. Maybe better than a knot though!!!!

Thanks Jean Marie! I love learning new tricks in crochet! I also like the one where the lady makes a yarn ball using a hand mixer!! I might try that one!
