    Need help figuring multiple

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the multiple would be on this pattern. I really want to make it but I would prefer to make it a little larger. I'm horrible at trying to figure the multiple. Thanks so much.

    Ch 60.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each
ch across; turn – 58 sts.
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc and in
each dc across, dc in top of ch-3; turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, skip next dc; v-st
in next dc; * skip next 2 dc, v-st in next dc; repeat from *
    to last 3 sts; skip next dc, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3;
    turn.
Rows 5 and 6: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, skip next
dc, v-st in next ch-1 sp, * skip next 2 dc, v-st in next ch-1
sp; repeat from * to last 3 sts; skip next dc, dc in next dc,
dc in top of ch-3; turn.
Row 7: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next 2 dc, * dc in next ch-1
sp, dc in next 2 dc; repeat from * to last st; dc in top of ch-
    3; turn.
Repeat Rows 2-7 five times, repeat Rows 2 and 3 again.
Turn and, with right side facing, work 1 round sc evenly
around entire outer edge, taking care to keep work flat; join
with a slip st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Row 1 - It looks like you end up with 57 stitches, not 58 stitches.

I don't think you need a multiple for this pattern. I would just chain as long you want it and follow the directions.

It is 58 stitches as you count the skipped 3 in the beginning as a stitch.

Hi there. I came up with that years ago when I realized that when moving from room to room while cleaning or for whatever reason I might be leaving a room at home, my dogs and even some of my cats would get up and follow me. I always had my little animal train following me!
