Looking for Afghan Pattern

My sister in law was working on an afghan while I was visiting. She has used the pattern for many years, and did not remember where she had obtained it. I did not get a chance to get the pattern from her; she has used it so often that she could not explain the instructions to me. And was hoping to find written instructions.

It is a treble 12, chain 10, repeat pattern. Then the open chains are crocheted up the afghan in a chain stitch. Not sure if I am explaining this correctly; I am a novice crocheter!

Any ideas would be appreciated!
