how to crochet around a dowel
Hi,I am crocheting a wall hanging and would like to hang it with a dowel. Can someone tell me how to get started so that my beginning crochet chain is already on the dowel (no broomstick lace) and how you would attach the dowel and afghan to teh wall when finished. Thank you!

Hello,
Here is a picture with an idea for crocheting the ends for hanging. You don't have to make them as big as this, though. How big of an afghan are you hanging on the wall?

I also found this website, but it is for a smaller dowel rod hanging:

Thank you for the welcome! I too have seen this website and am currently trying to incorporate the beginning chains right onto the dowel. It's going yo be a long process as the dowel is 32 inches. But a little at a time will do it -I hope. Thank you for your interest and help!
