    Berroco has some very lovely yarns. I have used their Weekend, available in worsted weight and DK. It is made from 75% cotton and 25% acrylic. I also have seen Berroco Modern Cotton Yarn Brickley online that looks very nice, and that is 60% cotton and 40% modal rayon. The only 100% cotton I've used (other than thread) is Lily sugar and cream, and I suppose you could use that for a scarf too. Knit Picks is an online shop and they carry all weights of 100% cotton yarn, so you might check there. Happy hunting!
