Is there a way to post a lot of pictures at one time?

I put a lot of pictures in a folder and clicked on the one below the paperclip, by the filmstrip that says 'insert image' but it only uploaded 3 pictures and then I tried it again and it uploaded another picture. I also tried to click on a picture I selected and hold the shift button and then click on another picture for instance to click on pic 1 and then hold the shift button and click on pic 5 and have all 5 pics selected but it didn't work. That only works when you want to drag your pictures into a folder.
So what does 'insert image' (at top of page by the filmstrip) mean?

When it says insert image - you can choose to insert a picture of an image on another site, or from your computer. I am not sure of how many photos the system will allow you to add in one post since the software has been updated. I have always had to upload one photo at a time, but could post several in a post.
