What is this!?!?!

I found this afghan in a thrift store and couldn't leave it there. Does anyone know the name of the pattern or where to find the pattern?

thanks for the effort, but it is not quite the same, the twisted part is different....they have what almost looks like a cable and this one merely has an entwined long loop

Hairpin Lace is a loop on both sides of the loom and crocheting down the center of the loops. It looks like the brown, red, yellow, blue, peach is Hairpin Lace and the person also crocheted on the end of the loops which looks like it might be the back of a slip stitch. I don't know why I didn't think of Hairpin Lace until I read karenlatlas's post since I'm doing Hairpin Lace.
