I love to do crafts, have and will make most anything; from stitching to sewing to quilting. I have made all manner of things in my days. But, crochet is my favorite; have been crocheting since I was 27, am 62 now. Love to hear about new techniques patterns, views whatever.

Hello all,

I've not posted on here in quite some time I actually forgot about this forum and my mail was going in the junk mail till I finally realized it was there. My name is Barb I joined this group a while back not exactly sure when tho. I love to crochet but altho I've crocheted for years i'm still in the beginner stages. I can't read a pattern or forgot how one or the other. Today I just ordered Crocheting for dummies from amazon.

Right now I am trying to learn a pattern I found on youtube its called beautiful shells blanket. I am trying to get the pattern down pat so I can go to town working on it. Normally I make baby afghans and use a pattern that's been in my head for years its the basic shell stitch but I use the back loops. Not sure where I got that pattern since I've used it for probably 30 yr.

I live in Michigan Wanna thank Betty for contacting me she's a fellow Michigander. I would love to meet more people from Michigan i'd love to get in a crochet group actually but I am full time in a wheelchair now with no help so its hard for me to get around and I can't get in peoples houses anymore due to steps. if its not a drive through I can't do it alone anymore. I was born with cerebral palsey fell 7 yr ago on my parents steps (which I had gone up and down all my life) and broke the femur bone in my left leg. Due to fear of falling I am now full time in a wheelchair. i'm 66 yr old and a yakker. hahaha.
