    Question

I made a couple of these squares and they turned out fine but on rows 3 and 4 it doesn't say to chain at the beginning of the row so I didn't. Is that right? I don't chain at the beginning of these rows?

Hi Jean Marie! You did just right as far as I can determine. Read over the pattern a couple of times and no chains on those rows looks correct. What color did you make yours?

So far I've made a white square with a blue heart and a pink square with a blue heart.

No, I want to put them together for a lapghan and when I get enough or what I think is enough I want to take them to the nursing home near here.

    Hi,
On rnd.3, what does it mean when they say to crochet between the previous stitch and the next stitch? I've done a couple of these and just guessed at where it might be. One time I did it directly under the sc stitch and this last time I did it between the next 2 posts. Maybe both ways are wrong. I don't know. So, does anybody know what this means?
