    Afghan

A new project I've recently started. Its coming on well. It's my first time stitching granny squares together to make an afghan this way. I'm happy with it so far. Still quite new to crochet so I'm pleased.1

Yes, it looks nice. Pretty colors. Just wondering how you put your squares together? What method do you use?

Thank you. I used the same wool as i did making the granny squares, and a darning needle and went through the back of each stitch

I made a boo boo when buying the wool. One wool is a lot thicker than the other. I decided to give it a go anyway. But this is probably why my granny's look a bit stretched oops!

    Hi Amie,
Thanks. I'll have to try that sometime. I had put my squares together trying to find the stitch that's in the stitch on both squares to put them together which makes it an invisible stitch. Now, I started using the whip stitch to put the squares together and it makes the squares flatter, not puffed out when putting them together. I'd like to try other ways of putting squares together too - the way you said, other invisible stitches and the Reverse Mattress Stitch and experiment to see which way I like better.

    Jean Marie
