Hi Everyone I'm new here
Hi, I'm new here, Although I have Crochet before, I still consider myself a novice.
I made a huge leap back in November. I was born and raised in N.J but made the decision to go south in search of a better life.
Now, I learn I'm going to be a first time Grandma!!! My Daughter and Husband are expecting a baby in August,So I decided to make a small
blanket. ! Since I have gone that far I will ask my question here, If you don't mind.
When it comes to the end of the rows they are uneven. What can I do to fix this problem? Should I add an extra stitch at each end? Do I pick up the first stitch near the end or so I skip a stitch or two? I just started and so far I like the simple stitch But already I see the ends are not even.I want this blanket to be perfect for my first Grandchild !!
btw My Name is Terri

Welcome! I am a Jersey girl too! Re: afghan- are you using a pattern? Uneven edges may happen because you aren't ending each row the same way. Turning chains and where the first stitch goes can cause problems. Just my thoughts......
