    Help

My town has a farmer's market during the summer starting May 24 weekend and seeing as I'm too crippled up to work, I thought I'd try selling some crochet. I can't figure out what might sell during the summer months and coming up blank. This is a main route to the many lakes to the north and a lot of summer travel goes right by.....can anybody think of something that would go over for this kind of trade?

Since it is a farmers market, you might do some pot holders, wash rags, and some popsicle cozies.

I think tote bags, the mesh-type. Use cotton thread/yarn, something washable.

Nice mesh tote bags. Hang them all around your booth. Put a couple of brightly colored fruits and/or veggies in a few to catch their eye and let them know what they are for.

Hair scrunchies are a good idea too: Get some elastic hair bands. Make a loop in your yarn and put the loop through the band. Chain 15, sc around band, ch 15. Continue until band is covered in sc. Then do just a few more chain loops and sc. Depending on the thickness of your yarn you can increase or decrease the number of chains in the loops. 15 chains is what I use for an H hook. Great stash buster! I have no problem selling these for $5 each.
