Double crochet V Stitch
So I am starting a new sweater pattern which I think I am going to need a lot of help with, unfortunately! So the pattern calls for a double crochet V stitch When I Google it to look for a YouTube video, I get something completely different from what the pattern is describing. So here is what the pattern describes:
GAUGE
6 Double Crochet V’s = 4”; 10 rows = 4” in Pat St
Foundation Half Double Crochet (FHDC)
Ch 3, yo, insert hook in 3rd ch from hook, yo and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yo and draw through 1
loop (1 ch made), yo and draw through all loops on hook – 1 FHDC made. * Yo, insert hook under the 2 loops
of the ch st of last st and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 1 loop, yo and draw through all loops on hook;
rep from * to desired length of foundation.
Double Crochet V-Stitch (dcV)
(dc, ch 1, dc) all in next st
Dc in 1st st
Sc in 1st dc worked in last row, ch 2
Does anyone know of a YouTube tutorial that demonstrates this stitch because I do not understand it all! Can I do my gauge swatch with just a chain base or will I have to do a FDC row to get started with this stitch?

I contacted the pattern company and it turned out to be a typo!

It sounds like they were doing the chain and the first row at the same time. I forget what that's called. Oh ya, the chainless foundation.
