    Amigurumi yarn and patterns

    Hi
I am trying my hand at amigurumi. I have tried different yarns and not happy yet. The smallest weight yarn I seem to find is three. Does anyone have some suggestions on what yarn will work the best for the little patterns.
Mine seem to come out bigger than it says

    Thanks

I use No.4 worsted weight yarn and an E hook. Some items come out a bit larger but are usually pretty near to the size in patterns. Softer yarns make up smaller.

Thank you so much. I shall try that. I really enjoy working on the smaller items

I just started making amigurumi. I use an "E" hook with worsted weight 4 yarn. I've tried the sport/baby yarn and wasn't happy with the results. The amigurumi I just made were all Star Wars ranging from 2-5 inches tall.
    Hope that helps

I also like the variety of colors available in the worsted weight versus the baby yarn.
