OK-I am stupid. What is the difference between blanket yarn and other yarn?

blanket yarn is a no.6 it is a chenile bulky i use it for making slippers ---you can get baby blanket yarn or regular blanket yarn they are both the same weight except the baby blanket yarn is all pastels while the regular blanket yarn is deeper colors

hey crochetdiva how are you today? yes i have tried those two places but they dont have any in red---i usually get it at fabric.com or knitting warehouse but they are all out of red hopefully they will get some in . i wanted to get a jump start on christmas presents thank you lulu
