Newbie
Hello, my name is Neva Lee, I am a late bloomer when it comes to crocheting. My biggest hurdle is understanding directions. I am fairly good at doing the stitches but really have a problems otherwise. Most of my hat projects turn out too big, too long, etc.
I don't know if I am doing this post correctly, hope so. I am looking forward to lots of helpful information.

Hi Newbie, nice to meet you. I'm a self taught crocheter and it takes time to get it right, just keep practicing. I haven't tried to make a hat yet because I wondered how you know what size to make it. There is many on this forum that can give you advise, they all are very talented from what I've seen and have a lot of knowledge to share.

Hi Neva, I am self taught too. If you can either describe what you are having trouble understanding, or post the parts you have questions about, I would be happy to help if I can.

Welcome! I love helping people if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I had the same problem. Lol my first hat was so big I took an extra piece of yarn weaved it through the bottom and said pull it as tight as you want and tie it in a bow lol. Don't feel bad asking
