    A question please

I am going to make a hat, and would like to ask your opinions. Which stitch has the most rebound from stretching? Thanks for your help!

Acrylic is best for holding the original shape of the crocheted project. Cotton is more soft but it will not rebound as well.

knit 2, purl 2 for the brim, then any stitch you like for rest of the hat. Lacy patterns let the wind through, so keep that in mind. if you want the entire hat stretchy use k2 p2 for the whole hat

    Hi Sleepiebear,
I had crocheted a big square and on the last round did the afghan stitch and it stretches to fit on a pillow. So I would say the afghan stitch has a stretch to it. And yes, like Karen said, knitting will make the yarn stretchy.
