Prayers Please for my Friend Karen
My friend, Karen, found out yesterday that she has breast cancer. She told me about it this morning, I'm feeling very scared and worried for her. I feel so bad that she has to go through this. She's 50 years old, divorced with 2 grown children and 2 little grand babies.
Please say a prayer for Karen. It'll mean a lot to her.
Hugs,
Shelley

Thank you Susie Ann, I knew you'd pray for her.
She went to the surgeon today and he's hoping they caught it early from her having a mammogram. She'll have an MRI tomorrow on her lymph nodes. It's just such shocking news, not something anyone expects to hear.
God Bless You,
Shelley

Hi Jean Marie,
Karen got the results of her MRI yesterday and the cancer has NOT spread into her lymph nodes. This is fantastic news. She's going to have surgery on Dec. 30th. She decided against a mastectomy and will have a lumpectomy. Even so, the doctor said the lumpectomy would be very radical and that he'll have to take out a lot of her breast tissue. Of course, she doesn't care about that, not at all. She just wants the cancer to be gone. After her surgery she'll start on radiation. She will not need any chemo which is wonderful.
Thank you so much for praying for her. She's been a close friend of mine for 5 years now.
I hope you have a wonderful Merry Christmas tomorrow with your family.
Hugs,
Shelley
