    Help with yarn choice

Good morning! I would like to crochet a keepsake throw for my daughter (26 years old). The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. I would like to use a yarn that can be machine washed and dried and doesnt pill. A yarn that is soft, since she will be snuggling with it . I typically purchase my yarns from craft stores (AC Moore, Michaels, etc.), but am open to ordering online at yarn stores. Could anyone help me with a very specific yarn brand name that would be suitable for this project?

Hi Donna, Here is your very same question with answers from Kitting Paradise, it's a forum site like this one but has a lot more knitting, hence the name of it! I've been on there a time or two in the past but it didn't have a lot of crochet chatter.... plus I have so many friends in here!

    Non pill yarns

also, this will help too, I'm glad you asked since I found such good info for myself as well:

Is this Yarn Going to Pill? - Knitting Daily

Can you tell I miss blogging?!

Those are great links aren't they?! Not only do they tell you yarns that don't pill, but what to do with yarns you've already used that do pill - nooo problem, they've got things for that now!

My choice would be Red Heart Soft or Red Heart Comfort yarn. Have used both and very pleased with them.

Hi Donna, just wanted to tell you that if you can't find anything at Joann's or a local store, KnitPics has a great reputation for good colors that match the online pics with great quality too, and excellent prices. They have many kinds too,m cotton, blends, wools, acrylics, etc. I'd love to order some from them, plus theirs is no pilling. Craftsy also has loads of varieties of fantastic yarns and great prices plus lots of sales. I have a ton of their yarn on my 'wishlist' in there!
Did you ever check out this site, you buy in small bulk but get super low prices, it';s in Canada,m assoc with Crochet Crowd/Mikey: wishlist, lol!E-Tent | Yarn Factory Outlet It sells discontinued name brand colors and the prices are unreal!
Good luck, let us know what you find!

Hi, I'd like to ask you about the packs you have, just any kind in general, when you list the yardage for those, is that yardage per pack or per skein please? You do have some nice yarn, are you in the US and how long is turn around time for delivery once an order is placed? I live in S.C. thx!
