My Dad got bit by a dog on his right hand - his thumb and fore finger. I asked if it was deep and he said it was to the bone.

Jean Marie, my goodness! I'm sorry your dad got bit by a dog. Was it a vicious dog, or was the dog afraid?

Bless your dad's heart, I'll pray that it doesn't get infected and that he'll be free from pain.

Thanks Shelley. It was a small dog. They were having a party and my Dad put his hand out to pet the dog and his hand was by the dogs ear and the dog has a ear infection and that's probably why the dog bit him. Come to hear that he had got bit by a cat before on the same hand. Anyways, Doris's daughter said she'd check on him again tonight and either wrap up his hand again or take him to urgent care.

I called this morning to find out and Doris said she was taking my Dad to Med 1 this morning. they were getting ready to go when I called. His hand was still sore. The dog had just gotten a rabies shot and my Dad had just gotten a tetnis shot.
