Lovely garden, Jean. It would be so much fun to walk out there and choose dinner.

I've made some zucchini dishes and froze some squash ( gold and green zucchini). I've made the yellow summer squash (from the garden) dish and am going to make it again. I am going to make at least 1 more zucchini dish and I froze some beans and have more to freeze and I want to make the Russian green beans w/ sour cream and tomato sauce. I'll have more beans to pick too. In the pictures above you can see the plant that's spread out in the yard. That is butternut squash. We have butternut squash on 2 sides of the garden (by the road and by the house -you can't see the road in the pictures).

My husband made some dill pickles and I made cucumbers and onion in a creamy sauce. I might make some microwave pickles, not sure. I've frozen some basil (the green basil, I think it's a sweet basil). I got a purple basil from Meijers and it has a good flavor but I've only had it a few times. The lettuce is done for. The spinach has flowers on it and the cucumbers will be done soon too.

We haven't had any tomatoes yet. The pepper plants don't look too good. We also have brussel sprout plants.

Thank you! How wonderful! I love these green beautiful plants. Is it corn? Looks like they have enough water. I live in very dry area and sun kills grass in summer
