    Smile Hi from Pennsylvania

hi folks, my name is Nancy and I am from Zelienople which is north of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
I made a granny square afghan about 40 years ago and I remember it took me 3 winters to make enough squares for a large enough afghan. I also made some baby blankets, about 4 or 5 but they were always in the granny square pattern. Now I have picked up my crochet hooks again and I'd like to make a baby blanket but something other than the granny square. Does anyone know of a simple enough pattern that I could try to get back into crocheting? Also thanks for having me in your group, I hope to learn lots of new stitches.

Hi Nancy h, I can recommend going on to Redheart.com as they have loads of free baby blanket patterns to knit or crochet, also Lionbrand and a website called Drops Studio. the patterns from theses sites are free, downloadable and stunning for all abilities. Happy crocheting.
